Philosophy and Expeditions

I am Florian Guillier, adventurer, documentary filmmaker, and speaker.

For more than ten years, my passion for the great outdoors has led me to explore a variety of environments, from the frozen vastness of Lapland to the wild rivers of New Zealand.

For me, adventure is not just a way of life: it is a language, one that scratches, amazes, transforms, makes the heart beat faster, and awakens something untamed within us.

My most recent expeditions took me deep into New Zealand for a full traverse of the South Island, 1,500 km covered on foot and by packraft, immersed in alpine mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and primeval forests. I also undertook a winter crossing of Sarek National Park in Swedish Lapland by ski pulka, explored the wild rivers of Albania by packraft, crossed the French Alps, trekked through Morocco’s High Atlas, and completed a traverse of Iceland.

Education and Professional Background

With a master’s degree in sports and adventure tourism management, I dedicated my thesis to studying extreme adventurers, analyzing their psychological and sociological profiles. My early professional experiences took me to Canada, where I guided sea kayak expeditions among seals and whales, before designing expeditions with Expedition Unlimited.

I then spent two intense years in my beloved Canada, working as a sled-dog, rafting, jet-ski, and boat guide, before moving on to a year-long immersion in the Australian Outback.

Film, Message and Collaborations

Over time, the need to share and transmit became central to my path. I trained in adventure documentary filmmaking, and my first film was selected in several festivals.

Through my films, I invite the audience to dive into the heart of adventure, to marvel, and to reconnect with what truly matters—in pursuit of pure freedom. My work does not simply showcase the raw beauty of the wilderness: it also carries a universal message, inspiring others to chase their dreams and to believe that nothing is impossible for those who truly commit.

Today, my expeditions go beyond personal achievement: they have become a source of inspiration, transmission, and a living testimony of our deep bond with nature.

My work is part of an authentic storytelling approach, as close as possible to the field. I collaborate with renowned outdoor and adventure brands and institutions, helping to share this vision of adventure and freedom with a growing audience.

The call of adventure remains, and new expeditions will continue to extend this quest for freedom and wild nature.
